- Can provide full design services, from inception to completion of construction.
- Can also provide partial services as far as Planning submission, or initial feasibility studies.
- Works in both the new-build and refurbishment sectors for both commercial and domestic buildings.
J.M. Johnston Consultants are also in the business of providing a Domestic Project Management Service.
- Can enable property owners to ensure that their new home or new home extension project is completed at best price, on schedule and in compliance with all Building Regulations.
- Can offer advice on securing finance, on organising the builder and sometimes the subcontractors, and on managing the construction right through to final inspection for the Certificate of Compliance.

Planning Package
- Survey of the existing house (if necessary).
- Based on client's brief presentation of design options.
- After client's approval, final version of the drawings is lodged to local authority altogether with planning forms and other documents (newspaper ad, site notice).
Tender Package
- Detailed specification for the project.
- Construction drawings, details.
- Put the project out to tender and select a contractor.
- RIAI contract is prepared to be signed with selected contractor.
- Commencement notice is sent to local authority.
